The internet has transformed the translations industry, freeing customers to use agencies based almost anywhere and allowing agencies to assemble large teams of freelance professional translators without having to carry the heavy overhead costs of traditional agencies.
aatranslations is following a very clear strategy based around three key themes:
- Geographical focus: our business is centred on Europe, and while we have customers as far afield as Canada and Japan, our marketing efforts are centred on Europe. We currently have leading positions in the UK, German, Swiss and Spanish markets, as well as a growing presence in France, Italy and Ireland.
- Efficient processes: we use online workflow technologies exhaustively in order to squeeze cost out of complex processes. Our goal is to automate any process where human intervention does not add value. Our single-minded pursuit of this goal already gives us access to the most comprehensive online quality management processes and allows us to manage complex projects with a minimum amount of manpower. We aim to have the lowest overhead cost for any given service of any agency.
- Added-value services: while our business remains centred on the translations market, we are constantly seeking ways to add value for our customers through related services. Terminology management and DTP solutions are two growing areas of the business which we aim to keep growing alongside our traditional translation business.
