Proofreading is a vital stage in the translation process. Even the very best translators sometimes make mistakes, and allowing a second translator to go through the translation comparing it with the original text is really important.
Our proofreading process fulfils three important purposes:
Most of our proofreading is carried out by our in-house Language Managers. Our Language Managers are also responsible for selecting the translators in the first place, and so they carry out the role of managing a team of translators and getting to know which translators are best at which type of work.
The majority of translation agencies use Project Managers to select both the translator and proofreader, both of whom are generally freelancers. Our system of Language Managers brings this crucial part of the process in-house, and ensures that there is a constant drive to improve performance. After all, our Language Managers have a big incentive to pick the right translator for the job!
